(Advanced Fractions)

This 5-week tutoring program will take your child through the advanced concepts of Fractions. Through our explicit, easy to understand weekly video lessons, worksheets, assessments and slideshows. Students will learn all they need to know about fractions in year levels 5, 6 & 7. How to work with Fractions in mathematical terms and how to represent and relate to them in everyday life.

The Fractions (B) program covers all areas needed to understand fractions in the Australian 'National Curriculum' from Year levels 5 - 7.

Fractions B will enable your child to develop their knowledge and understanding of fractions. This program explicitly teaches content right through, from the basics of labelling and using the proper terminology of fractions, to converting fractions into percentages and decimals.

❖Converting mixed numerals and improper fractions

❖Multiplying fractions

❖Exploring long division strategies

Week 4

❖Dividing fractions using long and short division strategies

❖Converting fractions into decimal numbers and back again

❖Converting decimal numbers into percentages and back again

❖Making connections between equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages.

Week 5

❖Revision of all previous weeks

❖Final Assessment (passing grade of 85% needed)
